Girlboss Radio had a loyal podcast audience but no dedicated social channel to extend conversations or foster community. The challenge: how do we translate an audio-first brand into a visual, interactive Instagram experience that feels distinct yet aligned with Girlboss’s voice?

 Reviewed audience behaviors and podcast analytics, noting strong engagement with inspirational storytelling and “behind-the-scenes” narratives.

Framed as a UX problem: the “user need” was for a shared space to discuss, reflect, and celebrate podcast content in a format they could interact with daily.

Creative Strategy + Execution

Developed a distinct visual identity: consistent color palettes, typography, and layouts that differentiated Radio from the main Girlboss account.

Created modular content formats: inspirational quotes, episode explainers, community prompts, and behind-the-scenes peeks.

Wrote content strategy guidelines for tone and storytelling, ensuring posts amplified the podcast’s empowering ethos.

Produced and published posts for launch, maintaining a cohesive grid aesthetic and experimenting with different content types to assess audience resonance.

Impact

The launch successfully established Girlboss Radio on Instagram as a community hub where listeners could extend conversations beyond the podcast. By the end of the year, the account grew to 40,000+ followers, demonstrating strong resonance and rapid adoption among the existing fan base. Engagement was driven by saves, shares, and conversational comments, positioning the channel as a key extension of the Girlboss ecosystem.
